Changing the World with Compassion International
Summer 2010, AHG announced its official partnership with Compassion International as together both ministries are "releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name"! This fall, AHG is offering a new way for AHG members to touch the lives of a child in need through sponsorship with Compassion International. To learn more about how you can help make a difference in the life of a child, visit www.ahgonline.org/compassion. Make sure to talk to your Troop Coordinator to learn how your Troop can work together to help fight poverty.
Pen Pal ProgramThis is a great way to make friends in other Troops across the country. Each girl will receive a name of another girl in the AHG program that wants to meet a new friend, write letters back and forth, send pictures, and send birthday cards, etc. The girls who participate will even get a cute patch to put on their vests! A Sweetpea Beauty Opportunity with VeggieTalesAHG is super excited to officially partner with Big Idea and VeggieTales in June 2010. Big Idea and AHG are teaming together to help share the message of ''true beauty'' through VeggieTales’ new DVD, Sweetpea Beauty. Now AHG girls will have the opportunity to earn a Sweetpea True Beauty activity patch by completing projects on the “True Beauty Guide” made available on the AHG or VeggieTales website. Troops are encouraged to plan a Princess Sleepover to complete patch requirements. The True Beauty patch requirements are a great complement to AHG’s Daughter of the King Badge. Refer to the Fall 2010 Leaders' mailing or visit the AHG website at www.ahgonline.org/sweetpeabeauty. Involve girls of all ages in this great activity.
